LIACOM is one of the partners in the organization of the 9th International Congress Media Ecology and Image Studies – “Mediatized Minds”, reinforcing its strategy of internationalization and consolidation of scientific networks in the field of Communication Sciences.

The congress, promoted by São Paulo State University and the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, is an international scientific meeting dedicated to the discussion of emerging topics in the field of media, media ecology, communication, and digital technologies. The event brings together researchers, lecturers, and professionals from different countries, promoting a space for interdisciplinary reflection on the social, cultural, and technological impacts of media in contemporary society.

The congress, which will take place from 14 to 19 November 2026, with synchronous and asynchronous virtual participation, currently has an open call for papers, inviting the submission of communication proposals within the scope of the event’s themes. Interested researchers may submit their extended abstracts, with a maximum limit of 700 words, through the official event platform, until 30 July 2026.
