Researchers from LIACOM participate in the ECREA 2026

Five researchers from LIACOM will participate in the European Communication Conference (ECREA 2026), to be held between September 8 and 11, presenting research that reflects the diversity of the areas of study developed within the centre.

Sandra MirandaAna Cristina Antunes and Alexandra Miguel will present the paper “Bridging the Grey – Digital Divide: Older Adults’ Transcultural Engagement with Artificial Intelligence”, which explores the relationship between older adults and artificial intelligence.

Hadassa Oliveira will participate with the paper “Families are attacked every day”: The Portuguese Case of Far-Right and Anti-Feminist Conservative Discourses on TikTok, co-authored with Jéssica Neves Caetano Ribeiro and Juliana Alcantara, examining the Portuguese case of far-right and anti-feminist discourses on TikTok.

In turn, Paula Campos Ribeiro, together with António Rodrigues, will present the paper “Communication Offices of Portuguese Central Hospitals: Organizational Additions and Challenges in Strategic Communication”, focusing on the challenges and transformations experienced by communication offices in Portuguese central hospitals within the context of strategic communication.
