Oral Memory Archive of Communication Professions Highlights Interview with Daniel Filho

The Oral Memory Archive of Communication Professions,  a research structure of LIACOM, has recently published an interview with Daniel Filho, conducted by archive researchers Graziela Mello Vianna, André Melo Mendes, and Nísio Ferreira. The recording was done by Gilson Ferreira, with post-production by Paulo Barbosa (ESCS-IPL).

Born into a circus family, Daniel Filho grew up in an artistic environment and quickly drew attention for his many talents. At the age of 15, Filho made his professional debut in teatro de revista (revue theatre) in Porto Alegre. Filho worked for many years in this genre, becoming one of the leading figures in Brazilian theatre. In the 1960s, Daniel Filho began a successful career in television, and it would be no exaggeration to say that his life intertwines with the history of Brazilian TV. Over the decades, Filho has worked as an actor, director, filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, voice actor, host, and head of TV drama production.
