On May 29, in the Main Hall of the Palácio Baldaya in Benfica, the Proceedings Book of the 6th Congress on Literacy, Media, and Citizenship: Digital Transition and Public Policies was launched – a publication that brings together the presentations delivered during the event organized in 2023 by the Informal Group on Media Literacy (GILM).

The book, edited by the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (IPL) and available online, was coordinated by Fernanda Bonacho, a researcher at LIACOM and lecturer at the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS-IPL). Fernanda Bonacho was also the president of the Congress, ESCS representative in GILM, and holder of the UNESCO Chair on Communication, Media Literacy and Citizenship.

The launch ceremony featured the presence of journalist and writer Luís Osório, who was invited to present the book. The publication includes 22 texts addressing the educational, political, and technological challenges posed by digital innovation and communication complexity, featuring contributions from internationally renowned experts in media literacy.
