On March 9, at 2:30 p.m., the book launch of “Brands Driving Sociopolitical Change. Activism in Promoting Societal and Environmental Attitudes” will take place at ESCS (room 2P9). The book, authored by LIACOM researchers Alexandra Miguel and Sandra Miranda, is published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing.
The event marks the authors’ innovative scientific contribution to advancing knowledge in the field of Strategic Communication. The book explores the role of activist brands in promoting positive attitudes among consumers and employees toward society and the environment, in a market context increasingly driven by values.
The session will feature Professor María Victoria Durán, Professor of Communication and Advertising at the University of Extremadura, who will present the book and reflect on its scientific contribution and the relevance of the topic. The opening remarks will be delivered by LIACOM Director Jorge Veríssimo.
LIACOM invites the entire academic community, as well as students and professionals interested in the field, to attend this launch event, which will provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing and reflection on a topic that is central to contemporary Communication.
The book is also now available on the publisher’s website.
