The UNESCO Chair on Communication, Media and Information Literacy and Citizenship, from ESCS-IPL and LIACOM, is organizing Citizenship Week “Do I Really Know?”.
This is a civic and political literacy initiative featuring various activities that invite reflection on our condition as citizens and aim to deepen knowledge about local elections, at a time when the municipal elections of October 12 are approaching.
Citizenship Week will take place from September 25 to October 3, in several spaces at the Benfica Campus of IPL.
September 25: Exhibition “From Pamphlets to TikTok: The Evolution of Political Communication in Local Elections”
Exhibition organized in partnership with the Ephemera Archive, showcasing political communication and electoral propaganda materials from 1976 to 2017.

The exhibition will be on display until October 10.
September 26: Roundtable “Reading Clubs and the Promotion of Languages”
Part of the Languages Festival.

Theme: Local elections, with questions from students.
