LIACOM researcher Ana Cristina Antunes presented, by invitation, a paper entitled “Rethinking the digital literacy of Portuguese seniors: a qualitative approach”, developed within the scope of the research project +LONGE: Consumption and Ageism: Expectations, Cultural Meanings and Stereotypes in Advertising for Senior Consumers, at the XV Iberian Seminar on Psychogerontology – VIII Iberian Seminar on Social and Community Gerontology.
The communication addressed the digital literacy of Portuguese elderly people, revealing varying levels of proficiency and highlighting the crucial role of family and institutional support networks.
