LIACOM and ESCS, together with FCSH-UNL and ICNova, are co-organizing the 1st Ibero-American Advertising Conference 2025, which will take place on October 6th, at the Beato Innovation District, in Lisbon.
The conference aims to address the specific similarities of new formats, themes, narratives, means and causes of local advertising communication, within the Ibero-American space, taking into account the changes that have occurred in the world in recent decades, as a result of globalization, the widespread improvement of living conditions, greater access to products and the emergence, growth and dissemination of Information and Communication Technologies.
National and international contributions are accepted, not exclusively, but with a focus on the following thematic areas:
- Advertising, Creativity and Aesthetics: creativity, innovation, branding, storytelling, immersive experiences and advertising aesthetics.
- Advertising, Culture and Identity: social representations, stereotypes, femvertising, gender, inclusion and social and cultural diversity.
- History and Epistemology of Advertising: advertising literacy, expanded advertising, evolution of advertising practice and theoretical perspectives.
- Advertising and Ethics: conscious consumption, social responsibility and sustainability, green washing, rainbow washing, and other “washings”.
- Advertising, Society and Politics: propaganda, activist advertising, brand purpose, social positioning, corporate activism and public communication.
- Advertising and Digital Transformation: crossmedia, transmedia, artificial intelligence, big data, social media and new communication platforms.
A set of works, selected by the Conference’s Scientific Committee, will be published in a special edition of the Signos do Consumo Journal, in early 2026.
Proposals for papers to be presented at the conference may be submitted until June 15, 2025.o de 2025.
