On July 2, LIACOM held its first researchers’ meeting, which took place at the Beato Innovation District in Lisbon.

The event marked a key moment in affirming the identity of the research center, bringing together several senior and junior researchers involved in LIACOM’s projects, in an informal setting designed to encourage engagement, creativity, and team spirit. During the meeting, LIACOM’s scientific strategy for the coming years was shared, along with ongoing projects and the definition of priorities for the near future.

The event also featured the participation of science manager Carolina Varela, who gave a presentation focused on European competitive funding programs, highlighting opportunities available to the center and its researchers.

In the afternoon, collaborative activities were promoted to strengthen internal cohesion and identify synergies among the different research lines.

This first meeting represents an important step in consolidating LIACOM as a center for applied, collaborative, and interdisciplinary research, and in building future strategies collectively, while fostering new scientific collaborations with academic and societal impact.
