The doctoral examinations of LIACOM researcher Alexandra Miguel took place on the afternoon of Monday, March 10, 2025, as part of the PhD in Communication Sciences at Iscte-IUL in partnership with ESCS-IPL, being approved unanimously and with distinction.
The thesis of the LIACOM researcher, now a PhD, had as its theme “The influence of Brand Activism on the pro-social and pro-environmental attitudes of employees and consumers”, being supervised by LIACOM researcher Sandra Miranda and the first research and PhD thesis in Portugal focused on the study of the sociopolitical impacts of Brand Activism.
The panel of judges for the aforementioned PhD exams included Professor Maria Victória Carrillo Durán, from the University of Extremadura, Spain, Professor Nelson Costa Ribeiro, from FCH-Portuguese Catholic University, Professor Ana Margarida Barreto, from NOVA-FCSH, Professor Guya Accornero, from Iscte-IUL, and Professor Sandra Miranda, from ESCS-IPL. The exam session was also chaired by Professor Marta Entradas, from Iscte-IUL.
