The event brought together business leaders, researchers, and academics with the aim of promoting the establishment of strategic partnerships capable of supporting the education of future generations and contributing to the diversification and development of the local economy, which is still heavily centred on diamond extraction.

As part of the forum, Alexandra David took part in the panel “Digitalisation, Integration of Value Chains in Industry, Trade and Logistics”, where she presented the paper “From Factory to Customer in Real Time: The Digital Revolution of Value Chains.”

During her presentation, the researcher outlined the current state of the digitalisation of value chains in Portugal, while also reflecting on the Angolan context, identifying opportunities and challenges for the sector’s digital transformation, and seeking to stimulate debate on the region’s growth potential.
