LIACOM researcher and faculty member at the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS), Fátima Lopes Cardoso, is part of the teaching staff of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Ukraine at War: Journalism Workshop”, taking place in Brussels from February 16 to 23, marking four years since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
The initiative brings together 50 students from four European institutions: IHECS (Institut des Hautes Études de Communications Sociales), the organizing institution; the University of Gothenburg; TU Dortmund University; and the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS).
Representing ESCS are students Maria Inês Rocha and Margarida Velez Dias, from the third year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, as well as Mariana Caparica (first year) and Ana Catarina Franco (second year), from the Master’s Degree in Journalism. The four students are accompanied by Fátima Lopes Cardoso, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and of LIACOM’s Journalism Trends Laboratory, who combines her academic work with extensive professional experience as a journalist.
