LIACOM researchers participated in the European Conference on Health Communication, organized by ECREA, which took place from September 24 to 26 in Braga, presenting part of the center’s research on communication and health literacy.

After the opening session, Filipe Barrocas Lima presented two posters:

• Information or Prejudice? News Coverage of the 2022 Monkeypox Outbreak in Portugal, co-authored with Pedro Marques Gomes;
• Health Literacy on Streaming Platforms: Comparing Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Representations in Netflix Series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and 13 Reasons Why.

Closing the conference, Tatiana Nunes presented the study “Local Voices in Food Education: How Engaged and Empowered Are Communities from the Start?”, co-authored with Vanessa Andrade and Sandra Pereira.
