Walace Rodrigues, former postdoctoral researcher at LIACOM, published the chapter “The Porticos of Portuguese Medieval Churches as Communicational Means”, in the book “Art and Culture. Cultural expressions, visual and performative narratives”.

The chapter investigates Manueline portals as supports for symbolic and religious messages, highlighting their function in the visual communication of medieval Portugal. Sacred architecture is analyzed from an interdisciplinary perspective that combines history, art and communication.
