an initiative that seeks to mobilise social actors around the world to raise awareness to the importance of media and information literacy, broaden countries’ engagement and celebrate the progress made in this field.

This year, the theme of Global MIL Week is “We All Play a Part – Media and Information Literacy for the People”, reminding us that we all have a role to play in building healthier information and communication environments.

The <a celebration with a programme highlighting media literacy initiatives promoted by the Chair and its partners throughout the week.

The programme showcases different ways of promoting media literacy and engaging diverse audiences, including reflecting on the role of the media and the importance of critical thinking, providing professional MIL training, sharing experiences within national and international academic networks and creating spaces for people to come together around reading and visual journalism.

<hr class="wp-block-separator
