{"id":3521,"date":"2026-05-22T21:48:59","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T21:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/liacom.escs.ipl.pt\/?p=3521"},"modified":"2026-05-22T21:50:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T21:50:12","slug":"laboratorio-de-tendencias-em-jornalismo-do-liacom-lanca-o-diario-lx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/liacom.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/publicacoes\/laboratorio-de-tendencias-em-jornalismo-do-liacom-lanca-o-diario-lx\/","title":{"rendered":"LIACOM\u2019s Journalism Trends Laboratory launches Di\u00e1rio LX"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LIACOM<\/strong>\u2019s Journalism Trends Laboratory has launched <a href=\"https:\/\/diariolx.escs.ipl.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Di\u00e1rio LX<\/a>, a multiplatform and transmedia project that aims to identify and use innovative languages and technologies to communicate information while preserving the principles of rigorous, pluralistic and impartial journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Developed within the activities of the laboratory dedicated to the study of emerging trends in journalism, Di\u00e1rio LX positions itself as a space for experimentation, reflection and content production, aligned with&nbsp;<strong>LIACOM<\/strong>\u2019s mission to promote applied, laboratory-based research that responds to contemporary communication challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project brings together&nbsp;<strong>LIACOM&nbsp;<\/strong>researchers&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/fatima-lopes-cardoso\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">F\u00e1tima Lopes Cardoso<\/a>&nbsp;(Director and Editor of the&nbsp;<em>Lisboa, Cidade Aberta<\/em>&nbsp;section),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/paulo-moura\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paulo Moura<\/a>&nbsp;(International Editor),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/vera-moutinho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vera Moutinho<\/a>&nbsp;(Society and Environment Editor),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/assuncao-goncalves-duarte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Assun\u00e7\u00e3o Duarte<\/a>&nbsp;(Infographics Editor), and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/maria-jose-mata\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maria Jos\u00e9 Mata<\/a>&nbsp;(Sports Editor). The initiative also includes the participation of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/isabel-alves\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Isabel Lucas<\/a>&nbsp;(Culture Editor) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/docentes\/francisco-sena-santos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Francisco Sena Santos<\/a>&nbsp;(Podcast Editor), alongside contributions from undergraduate and master\u2019s students in Journalism at ESCS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than a news dissemination platform, Di\u00e1rio LX seeks to establish itself as a dynamic space connecting research, journalistic practice and society by covering relevant current issues and promoting new ways of narrating and discussing urban everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking ahead, the project aims to continuously update the website with new content while progressively enhancing its interactivity, exploring formats and mechanisms that foster closer relationships with readers and encourage new forms of audience participation and engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this initiative,&nbsp;<strong>LIACOM&nbsp;<\/strong>reinforces its commitment to innovation in media and communication studies and to developing spaces that connect knowledge production, experimentation and social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LIACOM\u2019s Journalism Trends Laboratory has launched Di\u00e1rio LX, a multiplatform and transmedia project that aims to identify and use innovative languages and technologies to communicate information while preserving the principles of rigorous, pluralistic and impartial journalism.
