The integrated researcher at\u00a0<strong>LIACOM\u00a0<\/strong>and coordinator of the Journalism Bachelor\u2019s Degree at ESCS delivered two workshops on science in the fields of Media and Journalism to students from two 4th-grade classes at Escola B\u00e1sica Cidade Castelo Branco, specifically in her hometown, although not at the same school where she began her educational journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the principle of circular education, Native Scientists aims to \u201cbroaden children\u2019s horizons in underserved communities by building bridges with scientists and promoting scientific literacy and equitable education.\u201d The association believes that \u201cif 4% of the Portuguese scientific community takes part in the programme, every child in Portugal can move on to the 5th grade having met a scientist.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>F\u00e1tima Lopes Cardoso\u00a0took part, on May 8, in the \u201cScientists Go Back to School\u201d programme, organised by\u00a0Native Scientists, with whom the Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico de Lisboa has a partnership.
