{"id":2728,"date":"2025-10-09T14:16:20","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T14:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/liacom.escs.ipl.pt\/?p=2728"},"modified":"2025-12-04T11:30:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T11:30:14","slug":"investigadores-do-liacom-organizaram-e-participaram-na-i-conferencia-ibero-americana-de-publicidade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/liacom.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/eventos\/investigadores-do-liacom-organizaram-e-participaram-na-i-conferencia-ibero-americana-de-publicidade\/","title":{"rendered":"LIACOM researchers co-organized and participated in the I Ibero-American Conference on Advertising"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>LIACOM <\/strong>took part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/confpub25.fcsh.unl.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I Ibero-American Conference on Advertising<\/a>, held in Lisbon on October 6, which brought together researchers, lecturers, professionals, and students to discuss the contemporary challenges of communication and advertising in the Ibero-American context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>LIACOM <\/strong>team had a significant presence at the event, contributing in several areas &#8211; from scientific and logistical organization to panel moderation and oral presentations exploring emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, brand activism, body representation, and the ethical dimensions of contemporary advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference organizing team included researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/docentes\/jorge-verissimo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jorge Ver\u00edssimo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/docentes\/sandra-miranda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sandra Miranda<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cienciavitae.pt\/portal\/C41F-96AD-8F8B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hadassa Oliveira<\/a>, together with the SOPCOM Advertising Working Group and the NOVA Communication Institute (ICNOVA). Jorge Ver\u00edssimo and Sandra Miranda also played key roles as session moderators, alongside researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/docentes\/ana-cristina-antunes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ana Cristina Antunes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/docentes\/carla-medeiros\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carla Medeiros<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oral presentations delivered by <strong>LIACOM <\/strong>members addressed a variety of innovative themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bruno Frutuoso Costa, Hadassa Oliveira, and Mariana Pinto explored \u201cStories That Unite Us: An Analysis of Rhetoric in Disney\u2019s Advertising Campaigns.\u201d<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hadassa Oliveira, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cienciavitae.pt\/pt\/F01F-4BC5-A19C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alexandra Miguel<\/a>, Sandra Miranda, and Jorge Ver\u00edssimo analyzed \u201cThe Use of Artificial Intelligence for Brand Activism Purposes: An Analysis of the Campaign \u2018Dove | Let\u2019s #KeepRealBeauty\u2019 by Dove Portugal.\u201d<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hadassa Oliveira and Rodrigo Sanches presented \u201cArtificial Intelligence and the Cyborg Body: Reflections on Emerging Trends in Female Beauty in Advertising.\u201d<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cienciavitae.pt\/portal\/9911-9013-F24A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stover Ezequias<\/a> discussed \u201cReligious (In)visibility in Contemporary Advertising.\u201d<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/docentes\/vanda-de-sousa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vanda de Sousa<\/a> and Jorge Ver\u00edssimo presented \u201cEffects of AI on Advertising Communication &#8211; Algorithms, Aura, and Authorship: The Ethical and Ontological Challenge of Artificial Intelligence in Advertising Communication.\u201d<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LIACOM<\/strong>\u2019s participation in the conference reinforces the research center\u2019s commitment to the production and dissemination of critical knowledge on contemporary communication and advertising, highlighting the importance of the Ibero-American academic dialogue on the technological, social, and cultural frontiers of the field.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LIACOM took part in the I Ibero-American Conference on Advertising, held in Lisbon on October 6, which brought together researchers, lecturers, professionals, and students to discuss the contemporary challenges of communication and advertising in the Ibero-American context.
