The new edition of the ESCS and <strong>LIACOM<\/strong> scientific journal includes a dossier dedicated to the theme \u201cDigital culture: mediatization, surveillance and public space\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new issue is available for free consultation on the <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.ipl.pt\/cpublica\/issue\/view\/80\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Open Journal System<\/a> (OJS) website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong><strong>Issue with thematic dossier<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The dossier \u201cDigital culture: mediatization, surveillance and public space\u201d, edited by Silvia Valencich Frota and Nuno Medeiros, professors at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and researchers at the Center for Comparative Studies, brings together a set of articles whose objective is to stimulate academic discussion on the impact of new technologies on a society marked, on the one hand, by the abundance of information and data and, on the other, by a deep and widespread crisis of trust, with all the potential for disruption and instability that can be associated with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the thematic dossier, consisting of 8 articles, the new issue also includes two articles and two reviews, some written by <strong>LIACOM<\/strong> researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>About the jornal<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.escs.ipl.pt\/en\/investigation\/public-communication\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o P\u00fablica<\/a> journal is a multidisciplinary editorial project aimed at publishing research works, theoretical essays and critical notes that, regardless of the diversity of perspectives, languages, contexts and objectives that characterize them, make forms of human communication their theme of reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Call for papers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Submission of articles for the journal\u2019s next thematic dossier, dedicated to the theme \u201cHumor and Communication\u201d, is open until February 7, 2025.
