The book \u201cSpecialty Journalism\u201d, coordinated by Jaime Louren\u00e7o, a former ESCS student, has the contribution of teachers and former students of the School.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 2nd, at 6pm, Casa da Imprensa, in Lisbon, hosted the release of the book “Specialty Journalism<\/a>“, coordinated by Jaime Louren\u00e7o<\/strong>, with a bachelor\u2019s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication<\/a>, a master’s in Journalism<\/a> at ESCS, a PhD in Communication Sciences at ISCTE-IUL and currently Professor of the Bachelor Degree in Communication Sciences at the Autonomous University of Lisbon. Divided into two volumes, this is the first work dedicated to specialty journalism in Portugal, bringing together thematic articles by more than 40 authors, some of whom are Journalism professors and former students from ESCS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00e1tima Lopes Cardoso<\/a>, coordinator of the Undergraduate in Journalism<\/a>, writes the chapter \u201cPhotojournalism: the balance between the inner and outer world\u201d (Vol. 2, pp. 69-88); Lu\u00eds Bonixe<\/a> writes about \u201cRadio journalism in a multimedia context: the world told with sounds\u201d (Vol. 2, pp. 39-56) and Pedro Marques Gomes<\/a> is the author of \u201cJournalism and historical investigation: crossing of knowledge\u201d (Vol. 2, pp. 149-162).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The book has also the contribution of three former bachelor students and one graduate of the master’s degree in Journalism. Andr\u00e9 Carvalho Ramos<\/a> signs the chapter \u201cInvestigative journalism: the decrepit house\u201d (Vol. 2, pp. 133-148); Jo\u00e3o Francisco Gomes<\/strong> is the author of the chapter \u201cReligious Journalism: Can we report what we don’t see?” (Vol.1, pp. 381-402); R\u00faben Martins<\/a> writes about \u201cPodcast journalism: new expressions in a new medium\u201d (Vol. 2, pp. 57-68); and Francisca Matos<\/strong> reflects on \u201cAgency journalism: speed guided by rigor\u201d (Vol. 2, pp. 115-132), co-authored with Andr\u00e9 Campos Ferr\u00e3o, from Lusa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
